Robbie Graham is a full-time doctoral candidate at the University of Bristol, England, for a PhD examining Hollywood’s historical representations of UFOs and extraterrestrial visitation. As a writer and lecturer, his work emphasizes the cultural, industrial and political processes by which Hollywood’s UFO movie content is shaped, as well as the impact of these movies on popular perceptions of the UFO phenomenon.

The writer/lecturer is scheduled to be one of the speakers at the August 2011 3rd Annual Leeds (England) Exopolitics Expo. His topic is “A Hollywood UFO Conspiracy?” His discussion will be “highlighting the seriousness with which Washington has long regarded the potential of entertainment media to shape popular perceptions of the UFO phenomenon.” Graham said, “This talk will bring together six-decades-worth of concrete cases in which the US government and military have attempted – often successfully – to shape the content of UFO-themed film and television products. In the majority of these cases,” he said, “the government has sought to downplay the significance of UFOs and to massage its own public image in relation to the phenomenon.”
A major article for Graham and co-author Matthew Alford, “A History of Government Management of UFO Perceptions through Film and Television” was made available April 5 on Graham’s blog (http://silverscreensaucers.blogspot.com) as an advanced publication for the Spring 2011 issue of 49th Parallel – a journal of North American Studies jointly run through the UK universities of Birmingham and Nottingham. It considers the subject of government manipulation of UFO-themed media products.

He sates, “UFOs are of marginal interest to me, but flying saucers in New Mexico are fascinating. In the early 1960s I wrote a few stories based on interviews with Las Cruces residents who had still fresh memories of relatively reliable flying saucer stories.”
Dr.Thayer is the department head of Journalism and Mass Communications Department at New Mexico State University. He is also a New Mexico native from Hurley whose three degrees are all from New Mexico State University. He has worked as a reporter-photographer, editor, as an advertising and public relations writer, and a journalism educator, with experience in New Mexico and in Canada. He has written three journalism textbooks and his teaching concentration is in news writing, editing, and in public opinion and propaganda.
In one of his works on propaganda, Principles And Tactics Of Propaganda: Inevitability And Effectiveness Of Managing Public Attitudes, he states, “Because propaganda is omnipresent and is often underestimated, some authors see it as either inconsequential, or merely a reaction to other social and political movements. Just as the word ‘propaganda’ has unsavory connotations for some, so do some authors see propaganda as a positive tool, if only it serves their ideology.” He says the media keeps topics alive and at the forefront of news.

Jim Berkland and Hiromi Sharp discuss Japan’s devastation on The Joiner Report
Geologist Jim Berkland and former Japan resident Hiromi Sharp will join Angelia on Thursday night’s The Joiner Report to discuss the tragedies in Japan. Berkland has predicted an earthquake on the West Coast around March 19.
Japan suffered the biggest earthquake since records were begun 140 years ago. The 8.9 magnitude earthquake has been upgraded to a 9.0. It struck the northeast coast on March 11, generating a 33-foot tsunami that swept away everything in its path and killed an estimated 10,000 people. Countless numbers of farm animals and wildlife were also destroyed. It decimated much of Sendai City. To add to all of nature’s devastation, a volcano erupted in southwest Japan, sending hundreds fleeing from falling ash. Tsunamis have spread through the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii and California. The present disaster adding to the country’s woes is man made, as there is now a race against time in averting a nuclear meltdown as radiation levels surge outside two nuclear plants. The event has created global economic chaos with all three major stock indexes slumping Wednesday.
Jim Berkland's "Ring of FIre" Quakes
Berkland has worked as a geologist since 1958 with the U.S Geological Survey, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and Department of Interior. After receiving his doctorate, he taught at the Appalachian State University in North Carolina and was the first County Geologist in Santa Clara County in California.
After retirement, Berkland began to study the common factors that occur prior to a natural disaster such as tidal forces associated with the sun-moon alignment as well as other natural phenomena. He began making predictions based on his studies.
Hiromi Sharp presently lives in Los Angeles. She was born in Hawaii and resided in Japan for 20 years. As with many of the culture in the United States, she still has ties in Japan with 12 cousins. There is constant contact with her relatives about their safety. None of the extended family lives near the reactors; however, there is still the threat. She will discuss some of the trials the country is experiencing and steps being taken for its citizens’ safety.

Mr. Presidential UFO Grant Cameron on The Joiner Report
Grant Cameron will be Thursday night’s guest on The Joiner Report. Cameron recently attended the 2011 International UFO Congress and will discuss some of the meeting’s highlights.
Alejandro Rojas will also be one the show. Rojas is one of the team members of Open Minds Production who hosted the Arizona event. Grant Cameron (www.presidentialufo.com) is well known for his in-depth research in ufology and the study of U.S. Presidents’ remarks on the subject of reported unknown objects making aerial appearances all over the world.
He first became involved in the UFO phenomena in May 1975 with personal sightings of an object in Carman, Manitoba, Canada, which locally became known as Charlie Red Star.
After composing a manuscript on those happenings, he spent time researching the work of the late Wilbert B. Smith who was the head of the Canadian government flying saucer investigation known as Project Magnet, which ran from 1950 to 1954. Years of Smith research led to the discovery of former Penn State University president Dr. Eric Walker, who was identified by Dr. Robert Sarbacher as a key person inside the UFO cover-up. Cameron teamed up with T. Scott Crain to research and write a book titled “UFOs, MJ-12, and the Government,” published by MUFON. The book summed up their three years of research on Dr. Walker’s involvement.
Cameron then turned his attention to the involvement and actions of the U.S. Presidents and has made numerous trips to the National Archives and most of the various presidential archives searching for presidential UFO material. He said that one of the highlights of the research was the chance to question Vice-President Dick Chaney on his knowledge of the subject. Another exceptional event was the release of 1,000 pages of UFO documents from the Clinton administration, many of which are recorded on The Presidents UFO Website.

Documentary producer Jose Escamilla recaps his Battle of Los Angeles on The Joiner Report
On March 11, 2011, and March 15, 2011, there are two Hollywood films being released. Battle: Los Angeles, a 100 million dollar film, and Battle of Los Angeles, which is being called a “mockbuster” film.
The third film being made is Jose Escamilla’s “The Battle of Los Angeles.” This fact filled documentary reveals the truth of the early morning of February 25, 1942, which is the story premise behind the two Hollywood films.
In Escamilla’s documentary, one is taken back to experience the Battle as it occurred. Over a million people witnessed the military firing at a huge UFO that hovered over Culver City, California, for more than an hour and a half. The searchlights, the sirens and the military barrage against the Mystery Invader caused more damage to the neighborhoods below, than to the visitor itself. 
Thousands of rounds of anti-aircraft shrapnel were fired at what was described as being a five hundred foot in diameter craft from another world.
Escamilla has been involved in the research and investigations of aerial phenomenon he discovered in 1994, called RODS. His expertise as a film and video editor of over 27 years has made him a world-renowned figure in the world of UFOS, RODS and the Paranormal. His development of professional protocols for filming UFOs and RODs that eliminate all practical explanations, has given him the appeal to millions of UFO and RODS enthusiasts worldwide as the one and only researcher in the world that has brought forth the most extensive proof of the phenomenon and other UFOs.
The producer’s contacts in the entertainment business and in the paranormal arenas were invaluable in the making of Denied. He has a built-in audience demographic throughout the world. Colorado businessman Clifford Clift began leading MUFON in early 2010.
Clift took the helm as MUFON’s fourth International Director following in the footsteps of Walt Andrus, John Schuessler, and James Carrion.
He has been a member of MUFON since 1995 and a member of MUFON International Board of Directors since 2000. Clift is a MUFON Trained and Certified Field Investigator and has been involved with all aspects of Symposiums since 2004.
Clift led a team in the creation of Symposium Guidelines available for all states. He also developed the “Life Time” membership program for MUFON and has assisted the Board in development of a strategic business plan.
The director is a trainer of field investigators in Northern Colorado, and he also started the Northern Colorado MUFON Chapter, which currently hosts 25 members. Clift was the 2010 MUFON Symposium Coordinator. (www.mufon.com)

James Carrion
James Carrion began his lifelong interest with the UFO phenomenon at the age of 11 when he started his own UFO news clipping collection. As a young boy, James lived in Puerto Rico at a time when the island was a hotbed of UFO activity and he later researched the Chupacabra and Laguna Cartagena sightings. James served for four years as a U.S. Army Russian Linguist in the Military Intelligence Corps and became fascinated with the story of the Gulf Breeze six, a group of young Military Intelligence soldiers that went AWOL from their base in Augsburg, Germany to search for UFOs in Gulf Breeze.
Upon moving to Colorado in 1996, Carrion joined MUFON and worked as the state section director for both North Eastern and North Western Colorado. Carrion proposed and implemented MUFON’s Pandora Project, the electronic archiving of all MUFON’s UFO case files and served on the MUFON International Business Board for three years before being elected as the MUFON International Director in 2006. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Russian Language and a Masters of Arts in International Affairs, both from Florida State University and is also the CEO of a national computer training company. Norio Hayakawa, former director of the now defunct Civilian Intelligence Network, is a long-time UFO researcher who has, for many years, investigated Area 51 in Nevada as well as widespread claims about the existence of an underground base in Dulce, New Mexico.

Tennessee MUFON’s Chase Kloetzke relates close encounter
In her article for the January 2011 MUFON Journal, Chase Kloetske wrote she was still amazed with the changes in her life because of a one second occurrence.
Chase was appointed the Tennessee MUFON Deputy Director of Investigations/STAR Team Manager in October 2010. Prior to her appointment, she routinely investigated sighting reports to MUFON. She was instrumental in developing the STAR Team program and works closely with Tennessee field investigators. She is a 15-year member of the organization and was a presenter at the September 2010 Tennessee MUFON Conference. Chase manages a large retail specialty chain store, has a military background as a master instructor for the Department of Defense, and anti-terrorism training for the Coast Guard.
In April 2010, Chase was assigned a case when a witness reported seeing orange fireballs and red and white lights in the sky that would cluster with as many as 27 at one time. Multiple witnesses viewed the lights as they maneuvered and hovered.
She maintained contact with the main witness, and after a call on May 6 reporting helicopters flying over his property, seemingly looking for something, she said, “In 30 minutes, I had my ‘to go’ bag and was out the door.”
What she experienced on this particular field trip was beyond expectations, even after the witness’s intricate report. There was complete equipment failure on the scene, a craft sighting, and an appearance of a three and a half foot tall “being.”
Initially, Chase told only a handful of people about her experience, but was encouraged to write her story for the Journal. She notes that she always appreciates the excitement when a witness calls to relate an experience. “But that one second…it never leaves!” she said. “It was the one second that changed so much for me. One second of time that to this day continues to haunt me.”

James Penniston to discuss new info about Rendlesham Forest on The Joiner Report
James W. Penniston witnessed events the day after Christmas in 1980 that changed his life forever. The event is now widely known as the Rendlesham/Bentwaters case taking place near Suffolk, England. After thirty years, Penniston and John Burroughs (on duty with Penniston at the time) returned to the site where they saw an unexplained craft on the ground in the shape of a triangle sitting on three legs. Linda Moulton Howe accompanied them.
Speaking to an audience of around 300 people at “Return to Rendlesham Forest,” Penniston revealed he had some never before released information.
He had touched the symbols on the unknown craft thirty years before, and he told of a sort of telepathic download to his mind. Images of 1s and 0s, pictures in his mind, that did not go away until he wrote them down later at his home in the now infamous notebook he carried at the time. Penniston had a solid career in the U.S. Air Force. He first joined in 1973 at the age of 18. After basic training he was recruited for the Strategic Air Command (SAC) Elite Guard. In 1980, he was assigned to the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing and the 81st Security Police Squadron at Bentwaters Air Base. It was there that he had his strange encounter. During his career, Penniston was awarded 27 military honors as well as becoming the recipient of a letter of appreciation from the President. He retired in 1993.
Howe had the binary code deciphered by Dr. Horace R Drew and Dr. Mike Reed on Nov. 11, 2010, scientists she had worked with before. They determined the translation as follows: Exploration of Humanity/unclear 8100/52.0942532 N (north) 1.3131269 (west)/For Planetary Advance, and then more of the supposed message is not clear.
Penniston has only released a portion of the binary code for evaluation.

George Knapp brings in the New Year on The Joiner Report

George Knapp is an award winning investigative journalist. He is a frequent host on the Sunday Night / Monday morning Coast To Coast AM syndicated radio broadcast and is well known for his work on anomalous phenomena, a recurring topic on the show.
One of the noted events covered was in the late 1990s and early 2000s when he publicized the Skinwalker Ranch event in northeast Utah, where strange happenings are alleged to have occurred.
Knapp was born in Woodbury, N.J., and raised mostly in Northern California. He graduated from high school in Stockton, Calif.; earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from West Georgia College; and later earned a master’s degree in communications from the University of the Pacific, where he also taught speech and debate and served as director of forensics. He also taught speech at California Polytechnic University, coached the debate team at the University of California at Berkeley and taught broadcast journalism at UNLV.
Along the way, Knapp also worked as a hodcarrier, farm laborer, carpenter’s assistant and house painter. He moved to Las Vegas in 1979 and landed a job as a taxi driver. Later, he worked at KLVX-TV Channel 10 as a part-time studio cameraman and production assistant. KLAS-TV hired him in 1981 as a general assignment reporter. He also has co-anchored various newscasts for KLAS-TV.
Since 1995, Knapp has been the chief reporter on Channel 8′s I-Team investigative unit. In that capacity, he has earned *four* regional Edward R. Murrow awards and a national Edward R. Murrow award for his investigative stories on the voter registration fraud in the Clark County election of 2004.
He has won a prestigious Peabody Award and *17* Emmy Awards. Nine times, he has won the Mark Twain Award for best news writing from the Associated Press. And in 1990, his series about UFOs was selected by United Press International as best in the nation for Individual Achievement by a Journalist.

Larry Lowe has accumulated three decades of research and investigation into the UFO phenomenon. From the mid 80s to late 90s, he was a member of MUFON-LA in Los Angeles. During the period, he served on the board of directors of MUFON-LA with Ann Druffel. Druffel was a contemporary of James McDonald and after his death went through his personal papers and unpublished reports before they were consigned to the University of Arizona archive. The result was Firestorm, an exceptional biography of the man and an invaluable account of the times.
On this week’s The Joiner Report, Phoenix UFO Examiner Larry Lowe will discuss his assessment of the contribution of the University of Arizona professor to the history of UFOlogy, as recounted in Druffel’s book.

According to Lowe, Dr. James E. McDonald was arguably the most accredited, most engaged scientist ever to confront the evidence for UFO reality. He attacked the enigma with the tools that made him a force to be reckoned within atmospheric physics and national defense policy: a voracious memory for detail, a relentless and dispassionate inquiry into the data, a razor sharp analytical capability. He produced a mass of notes and reports, the majority unpublished, incorporating his occasionally whimsical means of explanation.
“Had he been allowed to complete his career,” Lowe said, “he may have become the Carl Sagan of disclosure.”
Shortly before his death, reportedly from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, McDonald told a few trusted colleagues that he had ‘the smoking gun’ in his possession that would resolve the UFO issue. For over three decades that statement has reverberated like the echo of a gunshot in a desert canyon, tantalizing in its implications and enigmatic in its solitary finality.

Nancy Talbott, Robbert van den Broeke and photo apparitions on The Joiner Report

It has been written that apparition pictures are the holy grail of photography.
In previous interviews with BLT President Nancy Talbott and Netherlands’ resident Robbert van den Broeke , the subject has been crop circles. However, Robbert also has the ability to capture apparitions in his photographs. Robbert usually states that he can feel a very specific, unusual “energy” or “presence” in his immediate vicinity just prior to the “apparition” photographs beginning.
Nancy Talbott said her long time friend Robbert told her early in 2004 that images of people had begun to appear on his camera in addition to the

strange “light phenomena” she had been seeing for years. Although she had seen prints of some of these “apparition” images during her visits with him, she had not yet actually witnessed him taking such photos. She said Robbert regularly obtains these photos during “readings” with his clients (using his clients’ cameras) when he becomes aware of the “presence” of one of these clients’ deceased relatives, and the resulting photographic images were being regularly identified–by Robbert’s clients–as images of the very individuals about whom they had come to ask Robbert.
Talbott said, “If I had not personally stood and watched as my young Dutch friend, Robbert van den Broeke, took many of the photographs presented, using my own camera, I would certainly not have thought that images of people who have died could suddenly appear in photographs being taken months, or years, after their deaths…at least not in the absence of chicanery of some sort being involved. But the fact is,” she said, “that such images can, and do, appear regularly–on many different cameras–if these cameras are in Robbert’s hands.”
On other occasions she said figures would appear when Robbert was taking photos in his home at night, and many of these images could be identified as Robbert’s deceased relatives. And, from time to time, faces or figures of people, such as the “mud man,” would also appear who were completely unknown to Robbert or anyone else in his family.

Former USAF officers tell all to host Frank Warren on The Joiner Report
Ret. USAF Captain Robert Salas
Retired USAF Captain Robert Salas was on duty during an event that simultaneously shut down 16 nuclear missiles on his Montana base in March 1967.
It was reported to him that a large, saucer-shaped craft at a very close range was sighted at the same time as numerous nuclear missile warheads were mysteriously deactivated. While being debriefed by the USAF about the incident, Salas was required to sign a non-disclosure document and told not to discuss it with the military or his family.
However, the document was dismissed when he joined other Air Force officers and one former enlisted man in breaking their silence in the September 2010 Washington, D.C. National Press Club Conference, moderated by noted researcher Robert Hastings.
Captain Salas said, “The U.S. Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases—and we can prove it.”
Ret. USAF Lt. Col. Dwynne Arneson
Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Dwynne Arneson, a Top Secret Control Officer who also spoke at the Conference, was with the 29th Air Force in the 1960s. He said he vividly remembers hearing about the Montana event. While later stationed in Maine, he said there were UFOs spotted near a nuclear weapons storage area, and, soon after, the missiles were enigmatically shut down.

Kauble was the central figure in Budd Hopkins’ New York Times best-seller, Intruders, the Incredible Visitations at Copley Woods, using the pseudonym ‘Kathy Davis’ to protect her young family. Then, in 1992, she revealed her true identity and with her sister, Kathy Mitchell, co-authored Abducted, The Story of the Intruders Continues.
Her experiences eventually propelled her into the Mutual UFO Network as a field investigator. Her personal experiences have given her an insight into the phenomena not often found in the field.
After a break of several years, she found herself back in her role as investigator after the April 16, 2008, event in Kokomo, Indiana, now known as the “Kokomo Boom” and featured on two national cable broadcasts. She has appeared on The Discovery Channel’s “Investigation X,” the History Channel’s “UFO Hunters,” the Sci-Fi Channel, Unsolved Mysteries, and other well known shows.
In April, 2008, she expanded deeper into the paranormal when she joined the team at M.R.I.P.A. (Midwestern Researchers and Investigators of Paranormal Activity) as their resident Ufologist and EVP specialist. Drawing from personal experiences, she brings a unique perspective to her work with MRIPA as well.

Thomas (Tom) E. Reed has been reporting his experiences to MUFON on and off since 1987. His brother, Matthew, has had similar experiences, but has been hesitant to discuss them with the public. Tennessee MUFON’s Assistant State Director Alyson Burgess will join Tom and Matthew Friday night on The Joiner Report to share their documented occurrences with the public.
Examples of Tom’s experiences include witnessing a cigar shaped object, time loss, and being inside an extraterrestrial craft, sometimes with his brother who also remembers Tom being taken temporarily by some of these entities, while others roamed the inside of the Reed home.
Alyson Burgess said, “At our (Tennessee MUFON) conference, we had a presentation by two men named Tom and Matthew Reed. Tom reported a

case to us here in TN last year that we’ve been working on, but he has been documenting his experiences through MUFON investigators for the past 17 years. This is a multi-generational abduction case involving his family going back to the l950’s,” she said. “The evidence is unbelievable. We’ve got bloodwork, polygraphs, and statements from MD’s and hypnotherapists.”
Tom, his brother Matthew, and the investigator who worked the case presented it at the September 2010 conference, which included noted speakers such as Travis Walton, who stated he himself was impressed.
When Tom was young, he lived in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Due to his father’s local political involvement, the family never spoke much about the strange things that were happening to the mother and grandmother and other members as early as 1954. The “special abilities” seem to flow through the bloodlines (O Rh negative and A Rh negative) as Tom’s son, born in 1994, appears to display extraordinary mental abilities that have been medically documented.
Matthew continues to experience strange occurrences as well. At first hesitant to talk about his incidents, he has now stated an interest in trying to recover more memories about his experiences. Most recently was missing time and strange electromagnetic readings emitted from his SUV—and that continue to be emitted today.

Nanc Talbott, Robbert van den Broeke on The Joiner Report

BLT Research President Nancy Talbott first became aware of Robbert van den Broeke of Hoeven, Holland in 1996 when one of the research team’s colleagues reported that 16-year-old Robbert had witnessed light-balls and an “angel” which emerged from one of them at a crop circle site in the fields around Hoeven.
Talbott said she dismissed the report, but was contacted again in August 1997. This time, the light had appeared outside his bedroom. When it disappeared, burn marks were found on the exterior wood trim and other areas about the site. A mysterious white powder was found on the balcony floor outside the bedroom. Robbert’s parents were concerned and asked if BLT scientists would analyze the material. The final result was basic magnesium carbonate, the same material often used in fire-proofing agents and for heat insulation. The questions were where did it come from, and why was it left on the floor?
Robbert has only recently agreed to be publicly interviewed.
Nancy Talbott
Nancy Talbott has been a guest on The Joiner Report numerous times and discussed his ability to “see” events before they occur. They are most often crop circles near the Holland village. Now, van den Broeke will present first hand some of the atypical events, including a group of crop circles named Woodenhead.
